Forgiveness is an amazing thing... The power that it holds can change everything in your life. Not only the forgiveness given to us by God, but the power we have when we forgive others. The word forgiveness in the scriptures is translated to mean seven different words, debt, sin cancellation, disregard, pardon, atonement, freedom, and deliverance. In advance, before you even asked for it, this forgiveness was already provided for you. Can you imagine a love like that? Many of us can't even relate to the thought that no matter what we do, no matter how many times we mess up, not matter how many times we disappoint God...he's always there, waiting in the wings to pick you back up again. Nothing can separate you from the love of God...NOTHING. This love has no equal, no comparison.
If you have come to the place in your life that you realize things just aren't working the way they should. Maybe you've seen yourself in the stories on Second Take and you want to do something about it before it's too late. Know this, it's never too late for God. As long as there's life left in your body you can always receive the forgiveness he has for you. If you're ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer out loud-
"Jesus, I am a sinner. I have messed up in more ways than I could ever say. My life has not turned out the way I dreamed it would and I now realize I need your help. I ask you to come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and set me free from the bondages I face. I need you and I never want to know what life is like without you again, Lord give me a second chance, a second take"
